for the Academic Session 2018-19

 

Merit List   is published.

Follow the Notice for First Counseling.

 

The candidates called for counseling only need to attend.

 

Candidates failing to report the Counseling session within stipulated time (by 11:00 A.M. on 21/06/2018) shall not be considered for admission in future.

 

Candidate or his/her representative must come to attend the counseling with duly filled-up Counseling Attendance Form. The form is available on the second page of the Notice for First Counseling.

 

Counseling on 21/06/2018 will be held for the Honours course applicants only. B.A./B.Sc. General course applicants will called for admission directly based on Merit List.

 

Notice for admission will be published on 21/06/2018 (after 4 P.M.)

 

Applicants may login to their accounts and check the status of their forms. They can also take printout of their forms, but cannot edit the content anymore.

(Application Fee in cash may be paid at SBI counter till 3:00 p.m.

Last date of reporting complaint against the List of Valid Applicants: 18th June, 2018 (Monday)

Last date of submission of Baptism Certificate (for Christian Category Applicants only): 18th June, 2018 (Monday)

Publication of Merit List: 19th June, 2018 (Tuesday) after 4 p.m.

Date of Counselling: 21st June, 2018 (Thursday)

Commencement of Admission: 22nd June, 2018 (Friday)

Eligibity Criteria

Marks obtained in the top four subjects except ENVS shall be considered to ascertain the aggregate marks. The candidates must have passed in English of Full marks 100 in the last qualifying examination. 

 

HONOURS COURSE

(Only WBCHSE/ISC/CBSE regular* candidates of 2018/2017* can apply)

*Regular Candidates are those who have appeared for all the subjects of the qualifying examination in respective year.

* The students who have passed XII final Board/Council Examination in 2017 but not have taken admission in any college are eligible to apply for Honours course.

 

General Caste applicants

 

PHYSICS  :  60% in aggregate & 60% in Physics & 60% in Mathematics.

       

CHEMISTRY  :  60% in aggregate & 60% in Chemistry & 55% in Physics & 55% in Mathematics.

 

MATHEMATICS : 55% in aggregate & 60% in Mathematics.

 

MICROBIOLOGY : 60% in aggregate & 45% in Biology & 45% in Chemistry & 45% in English.

 

ECONOMICS : 50% in aggregate & 45% in Economics/Statistics & 40% in Mathematics (or related subject) OR 55% in Economics/Statistics & 40% in Mathematics (or related subject) OR 50% in aggregate if Economics/Statistics not studied & 40% in Mathematics (or related subject)

 

BENGALI : 55% in aggregate & 50% in Bengali as First Language OR 55% in Bengali as First Language.

 

ENGLISH : 60% in aggregate & 55% in English OR 50% in aggregate & 65% in English.

 

HISTORY : 50% in aggregate & 45% in History OR 55% in History OR 50% in aggregate if History not studied. Also 60% in English for students if Bengali/English is NOT is first language.

 

POLITICAL SCIENCE:  50% in aggregate & 45% in Political Science OR 55% in Political Science OR 50% in aggregate if Political Science not studied. Also 50% in English if Bengali/English is NOT is first language

 

PHILOSOPHY : 50% in aggregate & 45% in Philosophy OR 55% in Philosophy OR 50% in aggregate if Philosophy not studied. Also 50% in English if Bengali/English is NOT is first language.

 

HINDI : 55% in aggregate, 45% in English & 45% in Hindi OR 55% in Hindi & 45% in English

 

 

S.C. /S.T. Applicants:  40% in aggregate OR 40% marks in the subject or related subject. Candidates with valid SC/ST certificate will only be considered.

 

Christian Applicants:  50% in aggregate and 45% in subject or related subject OR 55% in subject or related subject. Candidates are required to submit photocopy of Baptism certificate at college office within 18th June 2018, failing which their applications may not be considered.

 

GENERAL COURSE

(Candidates passed from C.U. recognized Boards/Councils in 2018/2017*/2016* can only apply)

* The students who have passed XII final Board/Council Examination in 2016/ 2017 but not have taken admission in any college are eligible to apply for General course.

 

 B.Sc. :

Must have passed in Biology and in Chemistry or Physics with minimum 45% marks in English if opting for B. Sc. Course with Microbiology

Must have passed in all subjects (other than Biology and chemistry) in case of B. Sc. with statistics combination.

 

B. A. :

Students who have passed HS or equivalent examination.Also 50% in English if Bengali/English is NOT is first language (Only for General Category candidates).

 

S.C. /S.T. /Christian candidates are required to submit photocopy of valid SC/ST certificate /Baptism certificate at the time of admission.
